Students of +2, and Diploma in Engineering(DE) can start their BE/B Arch entrance preparation classes immediately 
after completion of their theory exam of last year/semester. One should fill admission form (getting freely) with 2 nos of 
photographs (one auto and another PP size). Authentic letter from their college to Kanchanjanga Educational Institute (KEI) 
is needed for the students who are getting especial scholarship.
 
1) New admission: Full payment (with scholarship schemes) and 25% discount in tuition fee for first comer from each 
    college.
2) Pre-admission (Booking): The admission at least 2 months before the preparation classes in Kanchanjanga Educational 
    Institute (KEI) is called booking. For this, one should pay only 75% of the total tuition fee at once (the booking date is limited 
    for the particular year).
3) Re-admission: The old students can be re-admitted by getting materials fee discounted.
4) Group admission: A group of 5 to 10 students gets 25% discount in tuition fee and a group of above 10 students gets 
    30% discount in tuition fee.
5) Class starts from 4th week of kartik/4rd week of Baisakh/1st week of Ashwin (for Indian Embassy).

Form Distribution: 4th week of Shrawan 
Minimum Eligibility for the application: Should have completed I.sc / 10+2 / Diploma Engineering with at least 200 full marks in Mathematics.
Should have secured minimum aggregate of 45% marks.

Course of Study: Separate course of study, which will be distributed during from distribution.
Evaluation basis: 100% Entrance exam. At least 40% mark is needed to pass the entrance exam. Students do not need to apply separately for each faculty but in a single application, student can list out the priority, for all faculties after obtaining their score. So one should be able to determine priority list on the basis of score sheet and individual's interest if  he/she wants to apply for more than one faculties.

Minimum eligibility for the application:  should have completed I.Sc. / 10+2 / Diploma In Engineering with Physics, Chemistry, math and English paper all of full marks 200. Should have secured minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
Exam Formate: Physics-15; Chemistry-15; Mathematicx-30; English-10; Total=70
Course Of Study: Cover course of study based on intermediate level of TU, KU & 10+2 courses.
Evaluation basis: 70% marks from the mark obtained in the entrance exam, 20% mark from the aggregate percentage of PCM of I.Sc / 10+2 / Diploma In Engineering, 10% mark from the aggregate percentage of S.L.C.
The pass marks is 60%.
(Note: negative marking system is prevalent in which 0.5 is deducted for each wrong answer)

Chinese Embassy


Time of Exam: February / March
Forms distribution: February
Minimum eligibility for the application: same as MOE
Exam format: physics-100; Chemistry - 100; Math-100; Total=300
Course of Study: Cover of the study based on intermediate level of TU, KU, & 10+2 Courses.
Evaluation basis: 100% mark from the entrance exam.

(Note: This scholarship almost includes all the cost of a student but sometime transportation fairs may not be included and the student should manage the cost by his/her own. Some student may get partial scholarship also.)

Indian Embassy

Available Seats: 120 seats annually (including Colombo scheme and Nepali - Indain cultural scheme)
Time of exam: March- April
Forms distribution: February
Minimum eligibility for the application: Should have completed I.Sc / 10+2 / Diploma In Engineering with Physics, Chemistry, Math & English Paper of 200 marks each. Should have Secured minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
Exam Format: Physics - 30; Chemistry - 30; Mathematics-30; English -30; Total = 120
Course Of Study: CBSE Course for Indian Government. Kanchanjanga Educational Institute (KEI) Conducts an outstanding level preparation classes  of CBSE course for Indain Embassy Much of the faculties are related to CBSE course of Indian Government for this stream. Admission for this stream starts from earlier of Dashain & Tihar.
Evaluation Basis: It is to be noted that the entrance alone will be determine the selection criteria and generally the results are not published out. So, one should be in constant touch with the Embassy not to miss the chance if selected.

 Pakistan Embassy

provides some scholarship seats annually (generally 10-15 seats) in engineering except above mentioned. But, this may not happen anually. A separate entrance exam is conducted through the Embassy itself and the notices about it are generally published out in the notice board and some national daily magazines
Time of exam: June - July
Eligibility Criteria: Same as Indian Embassy.

About ME Entrance

After having BE / B Arch degree, it is relevant to take Master degree in Engineering disciplines. For ME studies in Nepal, IOE Pulchowk Campus is most reputed institution. Kanchanjanga Educational Institute (KEI) conducts ME Entrance preparation classes. Class Starts from the first week of Shrawan. The course duration is about 2 months.

+     For IOE Reserved Quota priority will be given to permanent IOE faculty. If there are no applicants from permanent IOE
       faculty, then priority will be given to faculties who have completed 5 years as a contract faculty. If there is no applicant in
       IOE reserve quota, it is added to Regular seat.
++   Priority for the sponsored quota will be as follows:
      1st Priority: Candidates from government offices
      2nd Priority: Organizations having government share
      3rd Priority: INGO/NGO
      4th Priority: Private Organization
      Foreign students are considered only for full fee on merit basis and they should be admitted as self sponsored.
^    1 seat is reserved for IOE faculty and 2 seats are reserved for female candidates.
–    If applications are not received sponsored category, then the seat will be fulfilled as full fee category.
